The news has never been more fragmented. Scroll Twitter and you'll find breaking updates that never make it to the mainstream. Open Threads or Bluesky and you'll find a completely different conversation. Visit a traditional news site and you're reading through the lens of an editorial team with its own perspective, priorities, and — whether they admit it or not — its own agenda.

Keeping up with it all is exhausting. And knowing what to trust? That's even harder.

mediafeedr started from a simple frustration: there was no single place to see what everyone was saying, all at once, without having to already know where to look. News had become something you had to work for — hunting across platforms, publications, and social feeds just to get a rounded picture of what was actually happening in the world.

What We're Trying to Do

mediafeedr pulls together coverage from across the political and media spectrum into a single, unified feed. Left, right, centre — it's all here. Not to overwhelm you, but to give you the full picture and let you make up your own mind.

We believe that understanding who is telling a story is just as important as the story itself. That's why every publication on mediafeedr carries a bias rating, sourced from independent, respected research organisations. We're not here to tell you what to think — we're here to make sure you have the context to think for yourself.

Sites like Ground News have shown there's real appetite for this kind of transparency. But too many of the features that matter most are locked behind a paywall. We don't think that's right. News literacy shouldn't be a premium product — it should be available to everyone.

mediafeedr is, and will always aim to be, free.

What's Coming

We're still early in this project and there's a lot in the pipeline. Some of the things we're working towards:

  • Account creation — save your preferences, filters, and reading history across sessions
  • Individual feeds — build a personalised feed based on the topics and publications that matter to you
  • Publication profiles — deeper information on each outlet, including ownership, history, and funding
  • More sources — we're continuously expanding our coverage to ensure all sides are genuinely represented
